Description
The Kennet & Avon canal in conjunction with Bathampton Angling Association. Our members are now able to fish from its starting point at Limpley Stoke right through to Avoncliff Aqueduct. The canal has always been noted for its quality fish of many species as well as its large stocks which provides sport all the year round. No Close Season. Most common species are roach to 2lb, bream to 5lb, tench to 3lb and perch to 4lb plus.

Kennet & Avon Canal. Limpley Stoke canal bridge, Winsley Hill. BA2 7
On the A36 heading towards Bath turn right at traffic lights by the Viaduct Hotel. Turn left at bottom end of village towards Winsley. Go over the river and up the hill to canal bridge. Fishing extends from here to Avoncliff Aqueduct. Parking is difficult so please do not obstruct gateways. If you so wish you can park in the first field as you pass the river bridge on your right heading toward the canal. The gate is secured by a combination lock, code is on the reverse on your membership card. Park your vehicle up the slope directly after entering the field and gate must be secured after use. .
Special Conditions
In addition to Bathampton AA club rules, anglers must not obstruct the footpath with tackle, poles, landing nets etc. No banks to be dug, fish closer than 25m to lock gates or moveable swing bridges or use bloodworm or joker between 16th June and 30th September. This canal is not on the Ticket Exchange Scheme
