Eden Vale
Eden Vale (Westbury sailing lake) BA13 4HW
Head toward Westbury railway station and the lake is on the left opposite the Railway Inn. Turn first left at the roundabout and 200 yards on the left you will find the Clubs new car park with 14 spaces. You can use the railway car park to fish the marsh side of the lake, but it will cost you £4.00 per day on a pay and display. Five bailiffs appointed by the club patrol the lakeside on a daily basis, so a current EA rod licence & Club membership card will be asked to be produced. This is not a Day Ticket water, members only. Night fishing along the station approach road and the marsh side is allowed by booking in at the club shop. Maximum 10 tickets per night. No night fishing on the left side of the lake where the new houses have been built.
It is a good mixed fishery with most species present. Carp of 25 lb +, rudd, roach perch and tench. Good size crucians can be caught at the far end where it shallows up along with tench to 5lbs. Bream fishing on the feeder can be caught all the year round, producing nets of 100lb plus but expect a carp to take your bait if you are using pellets .We ask all members to obey the lake club rules and show respect to the sailing Club and the house owners bordering the lakeside, and by doing so Eden Vale will remain a WDAC water for many years to come.
